Should you sell it on Noon? Score the idea first

Enter your product idea’s details and get a weighted score across 10 criteria — demand, competition, margin, weight, seasonality, fragility, differentiation, repeat purchase, compliance risk, and more — with a clear go / test / no-go verdict.

Product research without the data bill

Paid research suites estimate sales volumes from scraped data. The Idea Scorer takes a different, honest route: structured evaluation of what you know about the product — its price band, weight, differentiation, and risks — weighted the way experienced sellers actually think.

It does not pretend to know Noon’s internal sales numbers. Where evidence is missing, it says so and lowers confidence instead of inventing data.

The 10 criteria

Price band fit, shipping weight and size, demand signals you can observe, competitive intensity, margin after Noon’s fees, seasonality, fragility and return risk, differentiation from existing listings, repeat-purchase potential, and compliance or brand risk. Each is weighted; the verdict follows the math, not a hunch.

From verdict to listing

A “go” means: prove the math in the Profit Calculator, then build the listing with the Listing Generator and Title SEO Optimizer. A “test” means: small batch, measured expectations.

Frequently asked questions

How the weighting works

Not all criteria matter equally. Margin after fees and competitive intensity carry the most weight because they decide survival; seasonality and repeat-purchase potential matter less because they can be managed. The scorer shows each criterion’s contribution, so a “test” verdict tells you which weakness to investigate — not just that one exists.

From score to decision

Re-score when facts change — a new supplier price or a lighter variant can move an idea across the line.

Calibrating with your own history

The scorer gets more useful as you calibrate it. After your first few products, compare scores against actual outcomes: did 80+ scorers succeed? Did sub-50s fail as predicted? Adjust which criteria you weight most heavily based on your category’s reality — fragile goods sellers should weight return risk higher; commodity sellers should weight differentiation higher.

Common scoring traps

Score as a team

Have two people score the same idea independently, then compare. Where you disagree is where the real uncertainty lives — usually competition intensity or demand. Those disagreements are the most valuable output of the exercise: they tell you exactly what to research before spending money. A score everyone nods along to taught you nothing.

Does it show Noon sales volumes or bestseller data?

No. It scores your idea on methodology, not scraped marketplace data. Treat it as structured due diligence, not a sales forecast.

Can I compare multiple ideas?

Yes — score ideas one by one and compare the weighted results side by side before committing.

Is a “go” verdict a guarantee?

No. It means the idea passes structured criteria. Markets, competition, and execution still decide the outcome.
